Broke-Ass Witchery: Part Four
In this edition of my Broke-Ass Witchery series, we are going to talk about making your own stuff, which can often be more cost-effective than buying it, and has the added bonus of your own energy going into it, and you can empower an item as... One of the most potent wands I ever had was a rose stem with nasty thorns on it, fallen from a rose bush I had, which I used for nefarious purposes (protection and warding magick mostly. It would be better to pick something that has fallen on the ground, rather than cut it off a living tree. Wand: Tree branch or twig. Or you can craft a knob to put at the end (to have a proper wizard’s staff and all), or carve symbols or patterns into the wood (runes, knotwork, vines), or paint it and glitter it up, or whatever you want. If you want to get fancier, you can wire-wrap a crystal or affix it with baked polymer clay + glue, to the end or ends of the stick.
